Getting Started with Custom Fields

What are Custom Fields?

Custom Fields is an enhancement feature that allows you to add additional fields to existing forms throughout Custojo. Instead of being limited to standard fields, you can create custom fields tailored to your business needs.

What you can do:

  • ✓ Add custom fields to 20+ modules (Sales, Contract, HRM, Projects, etc.)
  • ✓ Choose from 9 field types (Text, Email, Number, Date, Dropdown, etc.)
  • ✓ Set fields as required or optional
  • ✓ Fields appear automatically in forms
  • ✓ Collect additional information without code changes

How to Access

Step 1: Navigate to Custom Fields

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Go to Settings → Custom Field (or access directly at /custom-field)
  3. You'll see a list of existing custom fields

💡 Tip: If you don't see Custom Fields, contact your admin to enable it for your workspace.

Step 2: Create Your First Custom Field

  1. Click + Create button
  2. Select the module you want to enhance (e.g., Sales-Account)
  3. Choose field type (e.g., Text, Dropdown)
  4. Enter field name
  5. Set as required or optional
  6. Click Save

Add a Custom Field to Sales Accounts

Step Action
1 Go to Settings → Custom Field (or /custom-field)
2 Click + Create
3 Select Module: Sales-Account
4 Field Name: Company Size
5 Field Type: Dropdown
6 Options: Small (1-10), Medium (11-50), Large (51+)
7 Required: No
8 Click Save

Result: When creating a Sales Account, you'll now see a "Company Size" dropdown field.
