Learn how to create a professional quote from an opportunity or account. This guide covers adding items, setting prices, and generating PDF quotes.

This guide shows you how to create a quote that can be converted to a sales order when approved.


Prerequisites

⚠️ Before You Begin: Make sure you have completed these prerequisites.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Navigate to Quotes

  1. Go to SalesQuotes
  2. Or create from an Opportunity → Click Create Quote

Step 2: Click Create New

  1. Click + Create button
  2. Or use Create Quote from an opportunity

Step 3: Fill in Quote Details

⚠️ Prerequisite Check: Before filling in fields that reference other items, make sure those items exist. If you see a dropdown with no options, you need to create the prerequisite first.

Required Fields:

💡 Missing dropdowns? If Account or Billing Contact dropdowns are empty, create those items first using the links above.

Optional Fields:

Step 4: Add Quote Items

⚠️ Prerequisite: You need products/services available in the Product & Service module. If the product dropdown is empty, contact your admin to add products first.

  1. Click Add Item or + Add Product
  2. Select product/service from dropdown
    • ⚠️ If dropdown is empty: Products need to be added in Product & Service module first
  3. Enter quantity and price
  4. Add discount if applicable
  5. Tax is calculated automatically
  6. Repeat for all items

Example Items:

  • Software License: Qty 10, Price $500 each
  • Support Package: Qty 1, Price $1,000
  • Setup Fee: Qty 1, Price $500

Step 5: Review and Save

  1. Review total amount
  2. Check all items are correct
  3. Click Save

Step 6: Generate PDF (Optional)

  1. Click PDF or Download button
  2. PDF quote is generated
  3. Send to customer
