What is Plaid?

Plaid is a secure banking integration that enables you to connect your bank accounts, automatically sync transactions, and manage financial data. Link accounts, view transactions, and match them with invoices and bills.

Prerequisites

⚠️ Before You Begin: Plaid requires these prerequisites.

Plaid API Credentials [ ] Configured Admin must configure Plaid Client ID and Secret Key
Bank Account [ ] Ready You need a bank account to connect
Plaid Mode [ ] Set Admin must set Sandbox (testing) or Live (production)

💡 Don't have Plaid credentials configured? Contact your admin to set up Plaid API credentials. This is required for Plaid to work.


How to Access

Step 1: Navigate to Plaid Settings

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Go to SettingsPlaid
  3. You'll see Plaid configuration options

💡 Tip: If you don't see Plaid settings, contact your admin to enable Plaid module and configure Plaid API credentials.


Quick Start (10 Minutes)

Connect Your Bank Account

Step Action
1 Go to SettingsPlaid
2 Verify Plaid is configured (admin should have set this up)
3 Click Authenticate with Plaid (or navigate to /plaid/auth)
4 Select your bank institution
5 Enter your bank credentials (via secure Plaid flow)
6 Grant permissions to access account
7 Bank account connected
8 View transactions in /plaid/transactions/{token}

Result: Your bank account is connected and transactions are syncing.
