Contract types help you organize contracts by category. This guide shows you how to create and manage contract types.

Contract types are categories that help you organize your contracts. For example, you might have "Service Agreement", "NDA", or "Employment Contract" as types.

Step-by-Step
Step 1: Navigate to Contract Types
- Go to Sales/CRM → Contracts
- Look for Contract Types in the submenu or tabs
- Click to open
Step 2: Click Create
- Click the + Create or + Add Type button
Step 3: Enter Type Name
- Enter a descriptive name for the contract type
- Keep it short and clear

- Service Agreement
- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Employment Contract
- Consulting Agreement
- Partnership Agreement
- Maintenance Contract
- Subscription Agreement
Step 4: Save
- Click Save or Create
- The type now appears in your list

Managing Contract Types
Edit a Contract Type
- Find the type in the list
- Click Edit or the ⋮ menu → Edit
- Update the name
- Save
Delete a Contract Type
- Find the type in the list
- Click Delete or the ⋮ menu → Delete
- Confirm deletion
⚠️ Note: You may not be able to delete types that are in use by existing contracts.

💡 Best Practice: Start with 3-5 contract types and add more as needed.
💡 Naming: Use clear, standard names that your whole team will understand.
